89, of New Lenox, formerly of Mount Greenwood, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Joliet. Loving mother of Peggy (Donald) Scott, Pat (Karen) Nee, Barb (Nicholas) Moldovan, Michael (Lisa) Nee, Mary Lynn Ruzich, and Donna (Jim) Cuthbert; cherished "Ema" of 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; dear sister of Margaret Sweeney and Mary Connolly; and fond aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Patrick, and parents Martin and Margaret Flaherty. Winifred was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, and employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 34 years. Visitation at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451, on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 3-9PM. Funeral Service Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 West 2nd Street, New Lenox, IL 60451. Mass of Christian burial 10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL. Memorial donations to the American Lung Association.
