Joan B. Samulski nee Rodgers
Age 70, of Elwood, formerly of Oak Forest, IL. passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Beloved wife of Thomas Samulski; loving mother of Kathleen (David) Szymanek and Thomas J. (Rhonda) Samulski; cherished grandmother of Zachary, Alecia, and Luke Szymanek, and Jacob and Ryan Samulski; dear sister of Joseph (Janet) Siuda. Joan was past president of Elwood Wyndstone Townhome Association, member of the Toastmasters, and volunteer at Silver Cross Hospital. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Saturday, February 13, 2016 with chapel prayers at 9:30 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Orland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, appreciated.
