Age 89, a resident of Frankfort, IL, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 23, 2013. Beloved wife of James A. Kozak; loving mother of James R. Kozak, Linda (Peter) Donzelli, and Michelle (Carmen) Ruffino; cherished grandmother of Ed Ambrose, Jennifer Kozak (Waqas Akkawi), Allison (Bryan) Barham, Joanna, late James, Sophia and Thomas Ruffino; and great grandmother of Ethan, Madison, and Aidan Akkawi, and Luke and Julia Barham; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her siblings Alex, Stanley, John, Joanna, and Loretta. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL. 60423 on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral service Friday, December 27, 2013, with chapel prayers at 9:30 AM to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
