Stephen D. McClain
Age 76, of Joliet formerly of New Lenox, IL and Detroit, MI, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Margaret nee Murrie; dear brother of Lawrence Cain; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence "Jack" and Alice Cain; and siblings Thomas and Margaret Cain. Stephen was a United States Army Veteran who served his country from June 30, 1959 –May 29, 1963, and continued serving his country in the Navy during the Viet Nam War from October 20, 1965- June 1, 1967. He attended University of Notre Dame, Georgetown University, and graduated from Joliet Junior College with his Associates Degree. He was a former member of St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox. Family will receive friends at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd St., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
