Joseph A. Bella Sr.
Age 80, a resident of Frankfort, IL formerly of Blue Island, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017. Beloved husband of Nancy Bella (Calderone); loving father of Joseph Jr. (Joanne) Bella, Julie (Dan) Gustafson, Jeffrey Bella, and Jill Bella; cherished grandfather of Jake, Scot, Matt, and Marc; dear brother of Frank II (Maureen) Bella and Mary (late Richard) Quillin. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws, Carol Bella and Diane (late Jack) Jostes, and cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Gertrude Bella (Tragnitz); siblings Ronald Bella, John Bella, and Phyllis (late Paul) Hassel; and brother-in-law Michael Calderone. Joe was a United States Army Veteran, and die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society, and member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Frankfort. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 5-8 PM. A Memorial visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM.
