James G. Lally
James G. Lally, 70, of Frankfort passed away June 24th, 2017. Jim was a Viet Nam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and was a 40 year member of I.B.E.W. Local 134. He enjoyed golfing and hunting with the Downers Grove Rod & Gun Club, and boating in the Northwoods in WI. He was preceded in death by his by father, George, mother, Marcella (Mackessy) Lally and brother Jerome Lally. Jim is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Bette" Lally (Mateja), his children Thomas (Michelle) Lally, Christopher Lally, and Shaun (Farah) Lally, his stepchildren, Michael (Janelle) Portwood, Allison (Patrick) O'Connor; sisters Denyse Lally, Monica (Kenneth) Thomas, and Adrienne (Jerry) Rizzo. Jim was so loved by his grandchildren: Thomas, Kaitlyn, and James Lally, James, Jack, Judson and Judah Portwood, great-grandchildren, Avah Lally and Alannah. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Friday, June 30, 2017 at 8:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
