Age 88, of Matteson, IL passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012 in Chicago Heights. Beloved husband of Joan nee Alloway; loving father of: James Madden, John (Debbie) Madden, Joanne (Ann) Madden, Janet (Bill) Vaughn, Judy (Angelo) Turano, and Jean (Bernie) Hogancamp; cherished grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 9. Edward was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Nora Madden nee Kerrigan; and siblings: Sheila Finan, James Madden, John Madden, Bernard Madden, and Thomas Madden. Edward was a World War II Army Veteran who participated in the Normandy Campaign of D Day, recipient of the Purple Heart, and member of the American Legion. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
