Carmen J. Petro
Age 89, of Mokena, IL., passed away on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 in Palos Heights. Beloved husband of Anna nee Tacialis; loving father of Concetta "Connie" (Rick) Starczewski and Mary (Michael) Kimmey; cherished grandfather of Beth and Lauren Starczewski; dear brother of Mary (Sam) Vinci, Louis Petro, Josephine Petro, and Rose (Bob) Hardek; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Carmen was a World War II Marine Veteran, member of the American Legion Gold Star Post # 1102, member of the Knights of Columbus, and former member of the Elks. He retired from Sheet Metal Workers Local # 73, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 Monday, November 11th, 2013 from 3:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral service, Tuesday, November 12th, 2013 with chapel prayers at 9:15AM to St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave., Mokena, IL 60448 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Association, appreciated.
