Michael J. Winke

Michael J. Winke, 78, of New Lenox, passed away December 14, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Mike is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene (nee Losey) Winke and their son Kenneth (Tracy) Winke, his sister Kathleen Yeager, his brother Lawrence Winke, and numerous nieces and a nephew.

Born in Joliet, IL to the late Arnold and Josephine (nee Meyers) Winke; preceded in death by his siblings Arnold (Jacquelyn) Winke, Frank (Edith) Winke, Bernard (Debora) Winke, and Douglas Winke. Mike was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran; retired after 42 years working as a loader for IMTT in Lemont, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mike’s name to APEX Hospice, Westmont, IL or St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, IL. The family will receive friends at St. Jude's Church in New Lenox on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 10:00am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
