MARTIN C. HEEMSTRA

Age 76, of New Lenox, passed away on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at his home in New Lenox.

Marty is survived by his loving family, children, Dean Heemstra, Deanna (Tom) Quenzel, Christopher (Lisa) Heemstra, LauraAnn (Kris Johnson) Krolak-Johnson, stepson, Michael (Karyn) DiNovo, brother, Bernie (Carol) Heemstra, grandchildren, Isabella Heemstra, Caleb Hack, Vincent DiNovo, Cecilia DiNovo, Courtney (David) McFarlane, Timothy Krolak, great grandchildren, Violet McFarlane, Lucas McFarlane, Baby Kro and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Martin & Gertrude Heemstra (VanProyan), former wife, Linda Heemstra (Kasza), wife, Mary Salerno-Heemstra (DiNovo), son, Michael Heemstra and sister Marijean Heemstra.

Marty was a member of Living Faith Community Church in Lockport and retired from Plumbers Local #130.

Family will receive friends Monday, June 21st, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451. Funeral service, Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City IL.
