Marian I. Woods (nee Skinkus)

Age 77 of New Lenox passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. Marian was born in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph and Isabel (nee Yurgitus) Skinkus. Beloved wife of the late Dale R. Woods; loving mother of Laura Woods and Michelle Woods; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Marian received her master’s degree in special education and was a teacher for over 20 years, most recently at Nelson Prairie Elementary School in New Lenox, IL for over 10 years. Marian will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Private family services will be held with inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
