Maria C. Luna (nee Silva)
57, of New Lenox, passed away at Silver Cross Hospital after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. Maria was born in Chicago to the late Nicasio and Carmen (nee Cruz) Silva. Beloved wife of Felix A. Luna Sr; loving mother of Felix Jr (Erin) and Vanessa Luna; cherished grandmother of Julian M. and Anthony V. Luna; dear sister of the Petra Silva, Danny Suarez, Julian Silva, the late Richard Suarez, Evagelina Avila, Pepe (Irma) Silva, Alicia Suarez, Tony (Lisa) Silva, the late Esther Suarez, and Ismael (Jacqueline) Silva; fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was an Adult Learning Counselor for Trinity Services. She was also known for her love of cooking. In lieu of flowers donations to No Stomach For Cancer in Maria's name would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 for a Memorial Visitation from 3:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 8:00pm.
