89, of Joliet, formerly of Chicago passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at her home. Maria was born in Greece to the late Tom and Vasiliki (nee Efstatthiou) Pislis. Beloved wife of Dinos Bovis; Loving mother of Tom (Michelle) Bovis and Betty (Jack) Bovis-Baity; Cherished grandmother of Dena Maria Baity; Dear sister of George (Georgia) Couston and the late Steve (the late Elaine) Couston; Dear aunt and cousin of many. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Hellenic Museum or Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL, 60451 on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 3-8 PM with a Trisagion Service at 7:00PM. Funeral Service Saturday, January 17, 2015 with visitation at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, Hegewisch from 9:00AM until time of funeral service at 10:00am.
