Margot A. Bartnik Bowman

December 13, 1924 — October 20, 2016

Margot Bartnik/Bowman, resident of Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home of Bourbonnais was called home to our Lord on Thursday October 20th, 2016. Her devotion to love, family, and uncompromising belief in God supported her in her life, and ultimately gave her much needed peace when she needed it most. As a mother, she played so many different roles in her almost 92 years of life. She made her final curtain call to go on to join the cast of the faithful in the Greatest Show "Off" Earth. Margot was born to the late Andre and Alice Robitaille in Chicago on December 13th, 1924. She is preceded in death by her sister Irene Wikel, Husband George Bartnik and Husband Edward Bowman, and infant granddaughter's twins Terese and Rebecca Bartnik. Margot lived a life that is worth remembering as her love of Family, God, and Life were always front and center. She had a passion for not only for her sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, but for all types of life especially animals. Her passion for life was powerful and without compromise. With her hobbies of traveling, photography, and theater she created memories not only for herself but for her entire family. At times, she lived life through the lens of a camera as she always wanted to capture important moments to share with everyone. She cared deeply for others and this care seemed to centralize all aspects of her life. Her devotion to the Lord carried her throughout her life in such a way that she was a messenger of the Lord. Her deep belief and unwavering commitment to the Lord helped steer a large family to become strong and unified under the most important aspect of life of which is Love. She had the unique ability to make Margot is survived by her 5 Sons: George Bartnik and (Ann Crisp) of Chattanooga, TN - Grandson Adam Bartnik and - Great Grandchildren Ying William and Clara, Marc Bartnik of Traverse City MI - Grandson Darren Bartnik, Great Grandchildren Zachary and Faith, Granddaughter Dawn Coleman, Great Grandchildren Chloe, Nicole and Ashley. Thomas Bartnik and (Lisa) of Mokena IL - Grandchildren Randy Besse, Brett and Brittany Eddleman - Great Grandchildren Isabella, Cecilia, Kalie, and Scout. Joseph Bartnik and (Kathy) of Odell IL - GrandChildren Brooke, Joseph, Theodore, Arron, Ian, and Ashliegh - Great Grandchildren Hana and Hadley, Paul Bartnik and Dianne of Rutledge, TN - Grandchildren Bryan and Paul - Great Grandchildren Clara and Addison. Margot is survived by her Step Children: Barbara (James) Burnette of Romeoville, Grandchildren James and Michael. Great grandchildren Addison and Violet, Edward (Susan) Bowman of Naperville. Grandchildren Todd and Lindsey. Great Grandchildren: Declan, Cormac, Nicholas and Kevin. Randy (Susan) Bowman. Grandchildren Christopher and Kathryn. Margot is survived by her sister: Andree (Richard) Wood of Barrington, IL, Elise Delaney of Tinley Park, IL. Visitation for Margot will be held Sunday October 23rd from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, located at 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423. and again on Monday, October 24th at Infant Jesus of Prague Parish 1131 Douglas Ave. Flossmoor, IL from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M.
