Lynne Waechter nee Johnson

Age 81, of Lockport, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Waechter Sr.; loving mother of Frederick Jr. (Pamela) Waechter, Joan Biaggio, Jean Waechter, and Jill (Philip) Arkin; cherished grandmother of Alyssa, Lauren, Haley, and Christian Arkin, and Maria and Vincent Biaggio; dear cousin of Lorna (Dave) Wooden; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Dixie Johnson, and sisters Myrna (late Roland) Floch and Karen Wooden. She graduated from Lyons Township Junior College with her Associate's degree, and was a member of First Congregational Church in Lockport. She was a longstanding aide and crossing guard at Milne Grove Elementary school in Lockport and retired after 25 years of dedicated service. Lynne enjoyed knitting, baking, bridge, and bowling. Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, IL 60441 on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 2-4 PM and 6-9PM. Lying in State on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at First Congregational Church of Lockport, 604 E. 9th St., Lockport, IL 60441 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at11:00 AM. Interment private.
