Lori S. Giffin (nee Norton)
56, of New Lenox, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet after a courageous battle with cancer. Lori was born in Joliet to Marna (nee Harnack) Reed and the late Gerald Norton. Lori will be remembered as the beloved wife of Greg Giffin; loving mother of Shawn (Alicia) Giffin and Aaron Giffin; cherished grandmother of Joe, Levi and Amelia Giffin; dear sister of Mark (Bonnie) Norton. After 34 years of service, Lori retired from KinderCare Learning Center in New Lenox where she taught hundreds of youngsters and was best known as Ms. Lori. She loved teaching her school children and was so honored when so many wished her well upon her retirement.Lori loved life and living it to the fullest. In recent she years she enjoyed exploring Hawaii with the love of her life, Greg. She loved spending time in the outdoors and especially enjoyed the motorcycle rides she and Greg enjoyed together. She was especially proud of her two sons and daughter in-law, Alicia. They brought great joy to her life. Lori enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always thrilled to be entertained by her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lori's name to the JOHA Foundation would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 3:00PM until time of Service at 8:00PM. Interment Private.
