Leslie "Doc" G. Egbert

Leslie “Doc” G. Egbert age 73, a longtime resident of Frankfort formerly of Carmi, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Loving husband of 50 years Judith Egbert (Spillie); dearest brother-in-law Anthony (Donna) Spillie and sister-in-law Janice (Donald) Andrews, Sr.; beloved uncle of Donald (Minette) Andrews, Jr., David (Jamie Shroba) Andrews, Anthony (Jennifer Hautzinger) Andrews, Amanda (Jorge) Leon and Brian Spillie; dear siblings Late Bob Egbert, Bill (Anna) Egbert, Betty Beets, Wally (Mary Ann) Egbert, Larry Egbert, Glena (Delbert) Kelley, Carol (Van) Naylor, Mike (Kim) Egbert, late Eddie Egbert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He and Judy enjoyed going out to eat, being with family, and friends, collecting Hallmark ornaments, taking care of his flowers, wildlife and raising monarch butterflies. Leslie was an electrician for Local 176, a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam, member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Active member of the Frankfort Lions Club for 40 years, member of Mokena Knights of Columbus and the Frankfort VFW. A visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort IL 60423 on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 9:00 until 10:00 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow to Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort. Leslie’s family would like to thank Hedges Clinic, Frankfort Fire Department, Frankfort Police and Silver Cross Hospital for all there caring and compassion they showed toward Leslie and his family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to St. Vincent DePaul St. Anthony, National Wildlife or the Frankfort Lions Club would be appreciated.
