69, of Beecher, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at his home. Leigh was born in Harvey, IL to the late Cecil and Gertrude (nee Tomsheck). Beloved husband of the late Connie (nee Brennan); Loving father of Steve (Wendi), Ray (Laura), Danny (Jeanetta), Janice (David) Kent and Karen (Keith) Johansen; cherished grandfather "Papaw" of Alison and Nicholas Barker, Jason and Shannon Barker, Tyler, David Jr. and Morgan Kent, Hailey and Brook Johansen; dear brother of Gertrude Neeley and Charles (the late Sharon) Barker; fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Leigh was a District Manager for Walgreens for over 20 years. He was also a Real Estate Agent for Remax for several years and was Owner/Operator of Barker's Home Improvement for many years. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 3:00PM until time of Funeral Service at 7:30PM. Per Leigh's wishes cremation will take place after the Funeral Service. Private interment at a later date.
