LaVerne A. Sharkey (Cosgrove)
Age 96, a resident of Frankfort, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Donald Sharkey; loving mother of Pat (David) Jeslis and Diane (Jack) Teter; cherished grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 8, and great-great grandmother of 3; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews, and her dear friend Loretta Murray. She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna (late Anthony) Paul and her parents Frank and Bernadette Cosgrove (Duschenau). LaVerne enjoyed traveling and playing scrabble. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 3-9 PM. Funeral service Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org. would be appreciated.
