Kim L. Smith (nee Ellena)
55, late of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Joliet to Barbara (nee Dillon) and the late Melvin Ellena. Kim was a Journalist for the Joliet Herald News for the past 15 years. She is survived by her loving family; her husband Jerry W. Smith; children, Bill (Jen) Smith, Dan (Rebekah) Watson, Jeff (Stephanie) Smith, Amy (Andrew) Komosa and Dan Smith; grandchildren, Mia, Mallory and Makenna Smith and Madelyn Watson. In lieu of flowers memorials in Kim's name to the Martin Jr. Larsen II Foundation Inc. 3226 Lightning Ct., New Lenox, IL 60451 or Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431. Family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451, on Friday, December 30 2011 from 2:00PM until time of Memorial Service at 6:00PM.
