Kay Smego

Kay Smego (nee Linden), 104, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2021.
Loving wife of (late) Joseph Smego for 73 years and mother of Susan McGuire (Daniel) and grandchildren Erin McGuire and Patrick McGuire (Cindy).
Preceded in death by her parents Frank Linden (Nellie), brother Frank Linden Jr. (Leona), sister Bee Linden, sister Dorothy Kern (Chuck) and brother Al Linden (Shirley) as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and best friends Frank and Louise Wagner.
Kay loved gardening, flowers, bird watching, being outdoors, sewing, knitting & crocheting, painting and was an avid lover of books. She always had a smile on her face, was quick to laugh, had a positive attitude and was truly an independent woman. She and Joe loved the farm they bought and lived on for 66 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the American Lung Association would be appreciated. Services have been held privately.
