Age 70, a resident of Frankfort, formerly of Chicago, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Beloved wife of John Zolp; loving mother of Stacy (Bradley) Shinovich and Kyle Zolp; cherished grandmother of Avary and Brayden Shinovich, Rylee Zolp, and Rebecca, Stephen, Candice, and Kaylee Cameron; dear sister of James Jelenick; fond sister-in-law of Diane Jelenick, Francine (late Dave) Hammer, Mark (Karen) Zolp, and Joanne (Ray) Bortoli; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Idell Jelenick (Moll), daughter Amanda Nicole Zolp, and Brother John “Jay” Jelenick. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling. She was an avid golfer and loved a great bargain. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will always be remembered and never forgotten. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 3-8 PM. Funeral service Friday, August 16, 2019 with chapel prayers at 9:15 AM to St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave. Mokena, IL 60448 for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Mokena, IL.
