Kathryn M. Day

Kathryn M. Day (nee Craven), was born in Pontiac to Juanita (Craven) Adduci and the late John Craven and passed away June 23, 2023.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband John G. Day, father John Craven and step father Nick Adduci; loving mother of Peggy (Phil) Jones, and John (Michelle) Day Jr; proud grandmother of Kaylee, Cabrey, Jonah, Johnny III and Tyler; dear sister of the late Christine Craven, Mike and James Craven, and Connie LaRotonda, and step sister to Mary Beth (Matt) Weldon, and Pam (Dave) Daniels; fond aunt of numerous nieces, nephews.

Kathy was a long time resident of Frankfort, IL. Kathy was known to be very active in the outdoors and always had to be working on a project. Many of them were for making the family home and property in Crete impeccable. When there weren’t any more projects to do at the house Kathy then moved on to building a passion with real estate and rehabbing houses in the area. Then in her later years, Kathy and her husband John retired to Mexico in 2009 where they enjoyed beach life for many years before returning to Illinois. Kathy loved being surrounded by her family and friends and her many grandchildren. A couple of her qualities were going out of her way to make you feel special and loved, and her ability to always see the best in people. She worked very hard for those she loved. She had a one-of-a-kind, contagious laugh that will be remembered forever.

Services for Kathryn will take place at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423, on June 29, 2023 with a visitation from 3:30pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 7pm.
