Judith "Judi" Lisak

Judith “Judi” Lisak, 79, of Bridgeview passed away suddenly on March 24, 2021, at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Judi was the devoted wife of Richard E. Lisak, Sr. for 57 years, mother of Cindi (Tom) Ward of Park Forest, Nancy (late Dennis) Ahyee of Oak Lawn, and Rich Jr. (Laura) Lisak of Orland Hills; grandmother of Kyle, Ethan, Mia Lisak and Corinne Ahyee. Sister of Sue (late Chris) Bodey and the late Ron (Jean) Kopp. Sister-in-law of Mary Jane (late Ed) Madix, Barbara (late Larry) Lis, Helen Lisak, late William (Judy) Lisak. Aunt and great aunt of many. Judi and Rich were married April 20, 1963. They lived in California when Rich was stationed at Travis Air Force Base. They came back with their two daughters, briefly to Oak Lawn before settling into their home in Bridgeview in 1968, where they had their son and have lived ever since. Judi was an amazing Mom and Grandma. She loved and spoiled her grandchildren and furry grandbabies. Judi volunteered in the PTA and as a Girl Scout leader when her children were in school. She was active at Peace Memorial Church where she was in the Ladies Guild, Tri-M’s, Sociables, taught Sunday school and vacation bible school, worked with the daycare program, and spent many years on the bowling league. A memorial service will be held at church at a later date. Inurnment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Memorials may be directed to Peace Memorial Church, Tower Hill Scholarship Fund, 10300 w. 131st Street, Palos Park, IL 60464.
