She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Josie was baptized at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Lockport, and attended Sacred Heart School, graduated from Providence Catholic High School in 1948, and she and Bob were married at St. Dennis Catholic Church on February 1, 1953 after meeting on-the-job where they both worked at Florsheim Shoe Company in Chicago. Josie and her late husband lived on Ames Street in Lockport prior to building their home in New Lenox in 1964, where she resided for the next 52 years. Josie lived a life of service first to her family, then as a "lunch lady" at Lincoln-Way High School, served as an election judge at the New Lenox Fire Station for many years, prepared meals for the Priests at St. Jude Catholic Church, cared for the elderly as an in-home Certified Nurses' Assistant, and finally, retired from Our Lady of Angels Retirement Center in Joliet.
