JOHN J. TOMAGA

John Joseph Tomaga, 80 years, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2012 after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

John was a devoted husband to Martha, loving father to Caroline (Alan) Olinger, David, and Michael; doting grandfather to Nathan and Michael Olinger; kind and generous uncle to Mary Jo Vargo.

He was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, and graduated from Joliet Central High School. Most of John's career was spent at US Steel. He served his country in the army and served his church as an altar boy and usher at SS Cyril's and Methodius.

John is preceded in death by his parents John and Karoline (nee Magercak) Tomaga, brother Joseph, and wife Martha (nee Kovesy) Tomaga.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423, Saturday, December 1st, 2012 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
