JOHN “GIMPY” SERRITELLA January 3, 1948 — June 20, 2019 Though he were dead, yet shall he live. My husband was a great man and he will be dearly missed. It is with a heavy heart that the family announces the passing of John C. Serritella, Jr. Dedicated husband to Kathy (née Willis), devoted father to John III (Rheanna Casica) and Jamye Lyn. Beloved grandfather to John IV, Marissa Lyn, and Donald James. He was a cherished brother to the late Victor “Artie/Sonny” (Nancy), Victoria “Dolly” (Richard) Prochaska. Dear son of the late Katherine and John Serritella, Sr. Dear brother-in-law to Richard (Feli), Harry (Cynthia), the late William, Barbara, Vivian “Gail”, Frederick (Patricia), and David. Dear son-in-law to the late Marian and Harry Willis, Sr. Fond uncle to the Serritellas, the Willis’, the Kaminskis, the Bertuccis, the Cristianos. As an honorable mention, I’d like to thank my daughter Jamye, my son John, my daughter-in-law Rheanna, and my grandchildren John IV, Marissa Lyn, and Donald James. How do I find the words to explain how much I love all of you dear children? You have been the joy and love of your father’s and my life all our lives! I couldn’t be more proud of each of you. Your love, your support, your strength, your patience, helping me countless hours upon hours with your father. Jamye, you were the apple of your father’s eye. You are the excellence of quality! You have a gentleness and compassion for others, as well as the strength and beauty of many in your family. You are a woman of grace! John, you have always been the pride and joy of your father and I. You have the strength of your father’s commitment to his family. You have his strong work ethic, you have his backbone, his smarts, and you have his sense of humor. You are a true Serritella! You are the man of our family now. Rheanna, how do I thank you enough for taking care of my son and my grandsons? You are a loyal and loving daughter-in-law. You have the spirit of a champion! You have the code of honor, you enlighten and brighten our lives. To my three grandchildren, John IV, Marissa Lyn, and Donald James, you are the heart and soul of me. You are perfection in my eyes. I am wrapped in pride and joy. You will always be first and a true blessing from above. Special mentions to six of the greatest guys we know: Chuck Marino, Leo Caruso, Carmie Bertucci, Mickey Bertucci, Willy Dabrowski, and Frank Falco Who faithfully went far above the call of a friend. Your acts of kindness and your countless hours of dedication spent helping my husband during his time in need cannot ever be repaid. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! A mention to all the guys in my husband’s phone: Ali, Augie, Carmie Bertucci, Capt. D, Chuck Marino, The Club, Dominick Tolitano, Frank Coco, Frank Falco, Fratto, Jay Joia, Jerry DiFini, Jimmy Sabbia, Johnny Boy, Mickey Bertucci, Punky’s, Sammy Ruffalo, Stubby, and Willy. I want to thank you all for keeping in touch with my husband. Per John’s and Kathy’s wishes, grieving took place privately. There will be no services.
