Joan Marie Seeley (nee Glavan)
90 of New Lenox, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Willow Falls Senior Living in Crest Hill. Joan was born in Joliet to the late Martin and Julia (nee Shroba) Glavan. Beloved wife of the late Raymond O. Seeley; loving mother of Julia (Russell) Leehaug, Kris (Mark) Trost, and Gina Marietti; cherished grandmother of Kimberly (Nate) Partwardhan, Allison Leehaug, Michael Marietti, Maxwell Marietti, and Nicholas Marietti; dear sister of the late Fred Glavan and the late Lee Gallagher. Joan was a R.N. starting out at Silver Cross Hospital, then working for Dr. Becker, and retiring from the Joliet Correctional Center. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 4pm – 8pm. Funeral Services Tuesday, August 24, 2021 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30am to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Joliet.
