JoAnn Flannery, nee Brow, age 76,of Frankfort, IL died at home, surrounded by family, on Sunday, July 29, 2012. She was born on November 20, 1935 in Chicago, IL. Beloved wife of 56 years and best friend of Jack; Dearest mother of JoAnn (Dan) Krause of New Berlin, WI and John L. (Karen) Flannery, Jr. of Elgin; Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey, Jacqueline and Matthew Krause and John L. Flannery III and Katherine Flannery; Dear daughter to the late Florence and James Brow; Loving sister to Thomas (Pattie) Brow and the late James and late Sister Mary Leontia, R.S.M.; Fond aunt to Christina Brow and many nieces and nephews; Sister-in-law to Tick (Kathie) Flannery, Bernice (late Ed) Gaffney, Late Robert (Mary) Flannery and Late James (late Mary) Flannery. JoAnn was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a charter member at Prestwick Country Club, an avid golfer, reader and bowler. JoAnn was retired from Kaiser Aluminum's Human Resources Department.
Funeral services and visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at St. Anthony's Church located at 7659 West Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery located at 16201 South 104th Avenue, Orland Park, IL. The family would like to thank all the dedicated professionals at Advocate Home Hospice and Home Instead Senior Care for caring for JoAnn with dignity and respect.
