Jennifer L. Mckirdie

Jennifer L. McKirdie, age 51, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by family on Thursday, September 2, 2021. We stand in awe at the strength she has shown throughout her battle over the past year and feel comfort in knowing she is at peace.

Jen excelled at everything she set out to do while overcoming the many challenges she faced. Jen had countless accomplishments, but was most proud of her two children, Sarah and Marc. Jen married her soulmate, Shaun. Jen was a true role model and admired by all who knew her. She is loved and will be missed dearly.

Beloved wife of Shaun Wasso; Loving mother of Sarah Ritschard (Lauren) and Marc McKirdie; Loving stepmother of Shaun and Jenna Wasso; Loving nana of Isabelle Ritschard; Loving daughter of Judith McKirdie; Loving daughter of the late Donald McKirdie; Loving stepdaughter of the late Paul Beinor; Loving sister of Heather Eskra (Jack Jerozal), Melanie Beinor-Culebro (Dino), and Denise Kaftan; Loving aunt of Melissa Anderson, Katlyn Forrestal, Kyle Mueller, Jonathan Eskra, Breanna Cousins, Cody Beinor, and Elizabeth Beinor.

A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to American Cancer Society in Jennifer’s name would be appreciated.
