Jay Thomas Vana,
Age 16, of Homer Glen passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. He is survived by his loving family; parents Thomas and Michele (nee Matile) Vana; siblings Matthew (Sierra Duron) and Amy Vana; grandparents Marilyn and Karl Kurtz, Thomas Vana and William and Julia Matile; aunts Cynthia (Michael) Ceranski, Hallie (Jose) Casas and Meaghan Cahill-Dunn; cousins Lena and Kathryn Ceranski, Jessica (Mike Laage), Elizabeth and Jamey Casas and Liam Cahill-Kurtz; dear friend Amanda Eminger, dear family friend Kofi Yeboah and many great aunts, uncles and dear cousins.
Jay was preceded in death by his uncle Joey Kurtz and grandmother Debi Vana.
Jay was a Junior at Lockport Township High School, a member of the Lockport wrestling team, an avid golfer and member of Shockwave Car Club.
Family will receive friends Friday, September 28, 2012 from 1:00 to 9:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 10:00am. Interment, Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations to Donor's choice would be appreciated.
