James T. O’Connor III

Age 38 of New Lenox, formerly of Midlothian and Orland Park passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

Jimmy is survived by his loving family, loving wife Rachael O’Connor (Derrico); beloved son of Vicki Shepard and James T. (Betty) O’Connor II; children Michael Dresden, Aria Dresden, Tori O’Connor and Dominick O’Connor; siblings Robert Genis, Richard Genis, Joey (Britni) O’Connor; grandparents Earl Baumhardt, Jr. and Nancy O’Connor and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister Katie O’Connor and grandfather Joseph W. O’Connor and grandmother Anna Baumhardt.

He worked for Illinois Central Sweeping, a graduate of Andrew High School class of 1997, where he played football and wrestled, he also played youth football for the Orland Knights. He loved going on long motorcycle rides with his wife and friends. He took great pride in building and racing his 2000 Chevy Camaro. In his first year of competing he won first place in his NMCA bracket and was featured in “Fastest Street Car” magazine. He was also able to compete on Street Outlaws Daily Driver Race this past fall. He made it all the way to the final round. Recently he took up hunting and loved the experience.

Family will receive friends Sunday, February 24, 2019 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451. Funeral service Monday, February 25, 2019 prayers in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W.
