James F. Weldon

79, of Frankfort, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL. Jim was born in Chicago, IL to the late Francis P. and Loretta M. (nee Hackett) Weldon. Beloved husband of Beverly (nee Pfeiller) Weldon for 50 years; loving father of Sean Weldon, Eric (Laura) Weldon, and Erin Weldon; cherished grandfather of Cameron, Brooklyn, and Alex Weldon; dear brother of Loretta (James) Tansem and Ruth (Peter Piane) Weldon; loved uncle of four nieces. Jim graduated from Roosevelt University and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. After 50 years of service as a Manager of Parts Marketing, Jim retired from Navistar in 2012. He was a marketing instructor at Keller Graduate School of Management. Watching his favorite team, the Chicago White Sox was one of his favorite pastimes. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed a good science fiction novel. Being a grandfather was one of his greatest joys in life and he was happy to be able to spend countless hours in their company following his retirement. Jim will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 2:00pm until time of Funeral Service at 7:00pm.
