James E. Shaw
73, of Matteson, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Berwyn, IL to the late John and Lucille (nee Golatka) Shaw and was also preceded in death by his step mother Genevieve Shaw. Beloved husband of 50 years of Donna (nee Goering) Shaw; loving father of James (Laurie) Shaw, Kelly (Edward) Cranston, Melissa (Kevin) Wagner, and Jennifer (Kristofer) Doerr; cherished grandfather of Emily Cranston, Brendan Kass, Matthew Shaw, Meagan Turner, Tyler Shaw, Andrew Doerr, Jillian Turner, Ashley Doerr, Courteney Cranston, Thomas James Cranston, Adam Doerr, and Kaylan Wagner; dear brother of Luanne (late Donald) Plochocki, Antoinette Specht, Mary Specht, and the late Gary Shaw; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. James was a retired Cast House Manager from Reynolds Co. after 41 years of service and Jupiter after 15 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. In lieu of flowers memorials in Jim’s name to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery would be appreciated. Due to COVID-19 and IDPH Guidelines, Private family services will be held with Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
