James A. Redden

James Alfred Redden, age 87, of Monee Illinois, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 2, 2019.
He was born May 12, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri to Alfred Harrison and Ola Mae Redden.
He was the beloved brother of Carol (and husband Meryle) Nelson of Wilmington Illinois, and Carolyn Graham of Marion Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pauline, and two sisters, Marie and Mildred. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends to cherish his legacy.
James was a US Army Veteran and a much loved member of Free Christian Assembly in Monee Illinois since 1954. He was a diligent caretaker of the house of the Lord for many years and faithfully taught Sunday School to several generations of the church families.
The Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E Francis Rd., New Lenox, Illinois 60451, Monday July 8, 2019 from 4:00-9:00 pm and Tuesday July 9, 2019 from 9:00 am until the hour of service at 10:00 am in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Scott Mahalick officiating. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois with military honors.
