Inez Dite (nee Boudreau)
94, of Manhattan, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at her daughter's home where she had resided for the last nine years. Inez was born February 5, 1923 in Manteno, to the late Joseph and Nora (nee LeRoy) Boudreau. Loving mother of Butch (Sue) Dite of New Lenox, Dianna (Dan) Heseltine of Joliet, and Sandra Gorney of Joliet; cherished grandmother of 9, great-grandmother of 18, and great-great grandmother of 4; dear sister of Dolores Mann. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward "Bud" Dite whom she married in 1944; 4 brothers, Bernard, Francis, George, and Maynard, and 5 sisters, Rosemary Marcukaitis, Genevieve Cann, Imogene Cann, Eileen Billingsley and Catherine Tutt; a grandson Dan Curtis and great grandson Jordan Berget. Inez worked at the Joliet Army Ammunition plant in 1994. She was a full-time homemaker living her married life in rural Manhattan gardening and farming with her husband Bud, playing cards, and enjoying family. She was a member of the Women of the Moose for many years. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 9:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00am. Interment, Wilton Center Cemetery.
