Henry Earl Wiemeler

Henry Earl Wiemeler, age 85, a resident of Homer Glen formerly of Plainfield and Chicago, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Loving husband of 65 years of Patricia Wiemeler (Wampach); beloved father of Steve (Maria) Wiemeler, Susan Wren, Julie (late Daniel) Woods, Patricia (Keith) Madsen and Elizabeth Marusarz; dearest brother of the late Marie (Dennis) Hernandez, Jean (late Thomas) McEnery and Carol (late Chuck) Schroeder; cherished grandfather of Steven, Grace (Fisher) and Daniel Wiemeler, Nicholas Pohlman, Edward and Henry Krol, Lauren, Jerry and Matt Marusarz, Heather Madsen ; proud great grandfather of Steven, Alice, Gregory and Joshua; fond uncle of several nieces and nephews. Henry was a retired Chicago Police Officer and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox IL 60451 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, prayers in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church for a 11:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Seasons Hospice would be appreciated.
