Gloria J Tribbia

Gloria J. Tribbia nee Grolla. Age 91. Born December 7, 1929, passed peacefully to heaven on March 13, 2021. Frankfort resident formerly of South Holland and Chicago’s Roseland Neighborhood. Graduate of Pullman Grammar School, Fenger High School and Chicago Teachers Institiute. Gloria had a passion for teaching and touched the lives of many as an elementary school teacher at Holy Rosary Grammar School in Chicago’s Roseland Neighborhood, Holy Ghost Catholic Grammar School and Eisenhower Elementary in South Holland, Illinois. She was a devout Catholic, donating her time as a religious education teacher. Fellow Spaghetii-O. Wife of the late John A Tribbia. Mother of Mark (Arlene), Kevin (Jill Glaser) and Jack (Susan) Tribbia. Cherished Nonna of Philip (Linda) Tribbia, Kymberly (John Pruyn) Jeka, Christina (Matthew Malloy), Bobby (Erin), Emily, and Carly (fiancé Taylor Fraleigh) Tribbia. Bisnonna to Winston Malloy, Johnathan, Norman, Elizabeth Tribbia and Simone Pruyn. Daughter of the late Marcella nee Antonini and Angelo Grolla. Sister of Joycelyn “Joy” (Julius) Brasini. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She always loved spending time with family and friends. Gloria personified sweetness, fun, kindness, and love. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. ALL IN ATTENDANCE ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE. NO FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 prayer service in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 AM leaving for St. Anthony Catholic Church, Frankfort for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow to Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip. Visitation Tuesday, March 16th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL. 815-806-2225.
