"Former Mayor of Frankfort", age 92 of Frankfort, IL passed away on July 6, 2016. Beloved husband for 62 years to the late Lorraine L. (nee Deist), loving father of son, Craig (Kimberly) Warning and daughter, Sharon (Rich) Pokorny, and grandfather to Brandon Warning, Jennifer Pokorny and Morgan Haag. He was preceded in death by his brothers Stanley and Wendel. He was instrumental in Warning Oil, Warning Chevrolet, A&W Root Beer stands in Frankfort and New Lenox, Owner/Manager of Warning Charter Service, Mayor of Frankfort for 24 years, Will County Board Member for 13 years, Chairman of the Board for Frankfort State Bank/Harris Bank, Director of Pace, President of Pleasant Hill Cemetery, a member of the Lions Club, Joliet Masons, Medinah Shriners and St Peters United Church of Christ in Frankfort. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Macular Degeneration Foundation PO Box 515 Northampton, MA 01061-0515 would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 2pm – 7pm. Funeral Service Monday, July11, 2016 at 10:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort.
