Glen "Mouse" E. Krohn

Glen E. Krohn, age 90, a longtime resident of New Lenox, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice House in Joliet. Loving husband of Doris Krohn (Hanson); beloved father of Terry (Marvin) Brown, Steve Krohn and Dan (Sheri) Krohn; dearest brother of Wade (late Evelyn) Krohn, late Gene (Helen) Krohn, Dale (Delores) Krohn and Carol (Marty) Terlep; cherished grandfather of Jamie (Martin Hughes) Wilson, Sara (Joe) LePore, Ashley (Andrew Seltzer) Krohn, Tim (Haley McHale) Krohn, Heather (Brendan) Glascott, Connor Krohn and late Megan Rountree; proud great grandfather of Joey LePore, Michael LePore, Nicholas LePore and Gage Krohn; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his parents William and Ella (nee Yunker) Krohn. Glen was a veteran of the United States Army, he was a volunteer for the New Lenox Fire Department of 49 years, he then retired and ran and became a Fire Department Trustee for 12 years, he coached boys baseball and enjoyed snowmobiling in Wisconsin with friends for many years, he was a member of Meneoka Club and loved showing his boys how to be a mechanic and work on automobiles. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 26, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. DUE TO THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC ALL IN ATTENDANCE ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE. A private Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the New Lenox Fire Protection in Glen's name would be appreciated.
