Gladys Viola Browning (Westvig), age 95, of New Lenox, Illinois, died on Monday, May 18, 2020, at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria (Stephen) Tadey of Mokena, Illinois. Three granddaughters, Lori (Robert) Kurzeja of Newbury Park, California, Lynn Tadey of Chicago, Illinois, and Janet (James) Foskett of New Lenox, Illinois. Four great-grandchildren, Owen Kurzeja, Katelyn Kurzeja, Kaylee Kotsis, and Thea Foskett. Her niece, Joyce Pilon of Chicago, Illinois, and her nephews, Ronald and Edwin Christensen.

Preceded in death by her parents, Henry Westvig and Hannah Westvig (Pedersen); husband, Russell E. Browning; three sisters Mildred Lyle, Margaret Christensen, Hilda Pilon and two brothers, Percy Westvig and Alfred Westvig.

Gladys graduated from Serena High School, class of 1941. Gladys worked at RH Donnelly for 25 years in Chicago, Illinois, retiring in 1988. After retirement, Gladys enjoyed taking care of her home and yard, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
