Geraldine Wurzburger

Geraldine Wurzburger (Knoll), age 70, a resident of Frankfort formerly of New Lenox, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, with her family by her side. Loving wife of Larry Wurzburger; beloved mother of Joe (Laura) Wurzburger and Dave (Dana) Wurzburger. dearest sister of Jean Knoll; cherished grandmother of Abby, Isaac, Miles and Mae. She was preceded in death by her parents Garrett and Winifred (Paarlberg) Knoll. Geraldine was a teacher for Orland School District @#135 for 35 years retiring in 2011. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in New Lenox, the adult choir, Ladies Ensemble, Altar Guild, Bunco Group and she volunteered at Silver Cross Hospital. A visitation will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 1900 E. Lincoln Highway, New Lenox IL 60451 on Saturday, March 5, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a funeral service in the church at 11:00 AM, with a luncheon to immediately follow at Peace Lutheran Church. Interment will be held privately at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort. Memorial donations in Geraldine's name to Peace Lutheran Church, Lightways Hospice or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
