Geraldine F. Handorf (nee Miller)
85, of Tucson, AZ. Formerly of New Lenox, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2016 at her residence in New Lenox, IL. Geraldine was born in Joliet, to the late George and Margaret (nee McKinley) Miller on September 22, 1930. She is survived by her loving children, Kathy (Bob) Bowser of Durango, CO, Jim Handorf of Tucson, AZ, Janet Barnett of Tucson, AZ, and Joel (Sharon) Handorf of Elwood, IL, her loving grandchildren, Tracey Bowser Hansen, Niki Bowser (Brian) Mestas, Shannon McCure (Brian) Garnto, Cass McCure, Brittany and Nicole Handorf, Eric (Robin) Barnett Josh Barnett, and Hannah Handorf; great grandmother of nine. Three sisters-in-law, Doris Handorf, Ethel Bruns and Lois Miller; aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard H. Handorf, daughter, Karen McCure, grandson, Robby Bowser, sister, Patricia Armbrust, brother, Chuck Miller and her cat, Pouka. Mom was a farmer's wife who loved to cook, travel and her cats. Mom and Dad always had their home open to family, friends, especially their kid's friends. Mom and Nana will be greatly missed. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Services will be held at a later date. Her caregivers were her grandson Cass, her son Jim and Carol Crothers. We want to thank them for their love and compassion for our mother and grandmother.
