Georgia Lee Stabosz
(June 17, 1944 – April16, 2015)
Georgia Lee Stabosz (Brousil), age 70 of New Lenox passed away after bravely battling cancer for 2 years. Married for 50 years she was the beloved wife of Thomas; loving mother of Thomas Jr. (Andrea), Timothy and Tamara Stabosz. Cherished grandmother of Allison, Casey, Erin, Abigail Stabosz and step grandchildren Tyler, Jonathon and Danielle Zimmerly. Dearest sister of Bonnie Brousil and Sharon Nowak. Loving friend to many.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and George Brousil. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Joliet.
Georgia's passions included her family (especially her granddaughters), the game of Pinochle and collecting chicken crafts and art forms.
Georgia was a gifted and talented homemaker. Although she was not trained professionally, she provided inspirational home decor for the 7 homes they lived in always with award winning warmth, style and beauty.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19th, 2015, from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox 60451)
Funeral service Monday, April 20th, 2015, with prayers at the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. and then to St. Mary Magdalene Church (127 S Briggs St, Joliet, IL 60433) for a mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
Interment: Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park.
