Frederick W. “Fred” Viola
78, of New Lenox, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Fred was born in Chicago to the late Edward N. and Irene A. (nee Schwartzhoff) Viola. Beloved husband of Carol (nee Dowling) Viola; loving father of David (Maria), Wayne (late Luanne), Leigh (Kimberly), Keith (Rachel), and the late Craig Viola; cherished grandfather of David, Nathan, Ashleigh, Ashton, and the late Zachary Viola; dear brother of Edward (late Immaculate) Viola, Louise (late George) Penteris, and the late Carolyn (late James) Mitchell; loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was a 56-year member of The Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130 UA. The family will receive friends for a Memorial Visitation at St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 10:00am until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
