FRANCIS C. EDELEN

Age 21, of Manhattan, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 21th, 2018 in Champaign County.

Francis is survived by his loving family, legal guardians, Debbie (Tim) Kratovil, biological parents, Michael Edelen and Kimberly Wood, grandparents, John & Amy Wood, Frank Edelen, Marilyn Edelen, siblings, Michael (Shay) Edelen, Danielle (Timothy) Guel, Stephen Wood, Kirby Edelen, Jacob Kratovil, William Hults, Brandon Hults, Hallie Hale, David Edelen, aunts and uncles, Frank Edelen, Mark (Suzy) Edelen, Brian Edelen, John Wood Jr., Danny (Kim) Wood, Marci (Patrick) Starrett, Jonathan Wood, Jason (Rebecca) Wood, Jared (Theresa) Wood, Heather (Victor) Cerda, very special cousin whom he lived with and considered his brother Joshua Kratovil and numerous other cousins.

Francis was an All State Wrestler on the wrestling team at Oak Forest High School where he graduated with honors. He was currently a Junior at the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana and a member of the wrestling team as well. Francis was an inspirational leader with a positive attitude who always managed to put other peoples needs first before his own despite the many obstacles that life put in front of him.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, March 25th, 2018 from 2:00 PM until time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM.
