Elizabeth "Betty" M. Griffo

Elizabeth “Betty” M. Griffo, 93, of Bridgeview passed away peacefully in her home April 6, 2021. She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Tietyen, Jeannie Casper, Toni Lynn (David) Harrison, Brenda Lee (Jerry) Charaska, and April Jo (Lloyd) Risenhoover; grandchildren: Michelle, Lori, Autum, Tammy, Melanie, Kristin, Eric, Mark, Alyssa and Braden; great- grandchildren: Eden, Kaila, Alese, Briana, Madelynn, Elizabeth, Evelynn, Andrew, Wyatt, Addison, Jordin and great-great grandchildren: Andee, Ariana, Jordyn, Drake, Brantley and Cameron; Longtime friend and husband, Anthony Griffo. She was the youngest of ten children born to the late Martin and late Josephine Klekot. Raised in Powers, MI, Betty came to the Chicago area, living for many years in Burbank before spending the last 26 in the home she built in Bridgeview. She worked at Marquette Construction Company and for the Illinois Secretary of State where she retired from. Betty loved her family, gardening, puzzles and crosswords and playing the slots. She was an adoring Nana to all her grandchildren. The family asks that in Betty’s memory you plant flowers or a tree.
