Age 84, resident of New Lenox formerly of Grand Crossing and South Holland, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox. Edward was born in Chicago to the late Carmen and Mildred (nee Bruno) Malito. Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Daly) Malito; loving father of Sara Malito, Kathryn “Katie” Malito and Edward (Mary) Malito Jr; cherished grandfather of Michael Malito and Sam Malito; dear brother of Marlene (Bernie) Malito Winter; favorite uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and was retired from Von Sydow Moving and Storage, and Robinson Engineering. Ed’s ability to tell a great story and prepare a delicious meal will be dearly missed. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Sunday, August 12 from 3:00pm – 9:00pm. Funeral Service Monday, August 13, 2018 with prayers at the funeral home 9:45am to St Jude Church, New Lenox, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Interment with Honors at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
