Loving husband of Frances (nee Cruise) Knowles; beloved father of Edmund ( Mary Kaye) Kowles Jr., Patrick (Tracy) Knowles, Mary Jo (Frank) Fleck, Jeff (Linda) Knowles, Mike (Diane) Knowles, Danny (Tricia) Knowles, Terri Goemaat; dearest brother of Patricia (late Wendell) Holman, Jill (Tom) Bojan and the late Mary Alice (late Bill) Knippel; cherished grandfather of Edmund P., Kelly, Andy, Justin, Garrett, Jeff, Ryan, JoAnne, Ashlee, Michael, Angie, Daniel, Bridget, Kylee, Luke and Kara; proud great grandfather of Gannon, Emmett, Finley, Joey, Carter, Cayla, Teagan and Nathan, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451, on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 9:00AM until prayers at 11:00am leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. Second Ave, New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 11:30AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow to Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox.
