Age 92, of Lockport, passed away Monday, February 25th, 2013 at her home in Lockport, with her daughters by her side.

Dorothy is survived by her loving family, children, Georgia (Frank) Alberico, Carol (James) Toner, Barbara (Charles) Hickman, Beverly (George) Adelmann, Bonnie (Scott) Blair, grandchildren, Andrew (Stacy) Alberico, Kristin (Brian) Feely, William (fiancée Chelsea Maurice) Toner, Megan (Austin) Street, Christopher (Blaire) Hickman, Kevin (Mindy) Hickman, Kyle (Christine) Adelmann, Carla (fiancée Matt McCowan) Adelmann, Timothy Blair, Joseph Blair, Emma Blair, Sophie Blair, great grandchildren, Maximus Feely, Charles Street, Parker Alberico and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dorothy was preceded in death by parents, Edward & Lucille Norem (nee Ruthenbeck), husband, George A. Nordstrom, Sr., son, George "Butchie" A. Nordstrom, Jr., brothers, Franklyn Norem, Donald Norem, sister-in-law, Stefie Norem and brother-in-law, Forrest (Helen) Nordstrom.

Dorothy was a longtime active member of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church. A member of the VFW Ladies Axillary, Woman of the Moose, B&PW, Kings Daughters & Sons. She was a lifetime member of the Lockport PTA, the Lockport Township Library Board, the Will County Historical Society and a volunteer at Silver Cross Hospital for 45 years. Dorothy was also a graduate of Joliet Township High School, class of 1938.

Family will receive friends at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport, IL 60441 Wednesday, February 27th, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Thursday, February 28th, 2013 at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church, 925 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL 60441 from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment, Mount Vernon Memorial Estates, Lemont, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church, Joliet Area Community Hospice or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
